CHYPPS Change of Status

During recent months we have been working to move CHYPPS from a registered charity to a Charitable Company Limited by Guarantee.

Our Company number is 7019515 and our new registered Charity number is 1132468. We are now in process of updating the information on the Companies House and Charity Commission websites.

We are pleased that many of the original CHYPPS Executive Committee have transferred to the new CHYPPS Board; and have been joined by some new members

Tony Cook, The Diocese of Bath & Wells

Martin Hodgson, Bridgwater YMCA

Scott McMillan, Somerset Youth Volunteering Network

Eilleen Tipper, independent

John Bennett, BIBIC

Mark Blaker, independent

We hope to secure additional members with who will bring additional experience, in particular working with BME groups, with younger children and skills in HR and employment law. We are also fortunate that through funding from the Capacity Builders Modernisation Fund secured by ViSTA, to have additional financial expertise from Tim Green. Chris Spencer, Senior Partner with Pardoes Solicitors is actively helping to identify additional legal expertise.

These changes put CHYPPS in a much better position for the future and to improve the service given to the membership
