Terms and Conditions of Membership
1. Members must be a community, voluntary or private organisation working in Somerset to provide a service for children and young people
2. Applicants complete a registration form with a named contact person and must agree to the terms and conditions before they are approved and registered by CHYPPS as full members
3. Members must supply a short summary about their organisation including contact details for inclusion on the CHYPPS website. This may include a URL if available
4. Members are invited to register their information on the Somerset Gateway database to maximise exposure of the CHYPPS membership to the Somerset Directory of Services for Children and Young People
5. Members agree to their details being available to the CHYPPS executive to promote the work of CHYPPS including newsletters and brochures, and to be contacted by other organisations working closely with the CHYPPS executive on related issues
6. Members must have relevant and updated policies on Child Protection, and Health and Safety that will be made available to the CHYPPS executive within 2 weeks on request
7. All staff and volunteers of member organisations working with children and young people must have a recent (within 3 years) enhanced CRB check
8. Members are responsible for notifying CHYPPS of administrative changes and updating their own information on the CHYPPS website and informing Somerset Gateway
9. Members uploading information on the site must be aware of their behaviour and avoid obscene or blasphemous postings; promoting illegal activities; infringement of copyright, trademark or another person; posting unauthorised advertising, junk mail or spam; altering or erasing material other than your own.
10. Membership is reviewed annually
11. CHYPPS retains the right to cancel membership without notice pending an investigation of failure to comply with the terms and conditions
CHYPPS reserves the right to change the Terms and Conditions of Membership at any time. Such changes will be posted immediately online and members will be informed as possible.
Privacy statement
The CHYPPS website is owned and managed by CHYPPS, registered charity no. 1047712. CHYPPS is committed to protecting your right to privacy as a member and/or user of our website.
CHYPPS will be using Google analytics to monitor the website and inform discussions about future developments and marketing decisions. This method utilises a cookie. A cookie is defined as: A small amount of text data given to a web browser by a web server. The data is stored on a user’s hard drive and is returned to the specific web server each time the browser requests a page from that server.
Information about users will only be used on an anonymous, aggregated basis.
Should you choose to correspond with us via email we may retain the content of your message and your email address. This will not be released to a third party without your permission.
